Benefits of MCT OIL – Super Fuel For Your Brain In A Coffee

I heard about the benefits of MCT OIL a few years ago but never paid too much attention to it. I had too many other nutrition ideas I was investigating and implementing in my life at the time.
Last summer, my best friend, Pam (she has been much the inspiration into nutrition and fitness) and I were having a conversation about nutrition, something we always do. The topic, MCT OIL and Bulletproof Coffee came up. We researched the benefits of MCT OIL, and since we both are coffee lovers we decided to give Bulletproof coffee a try.
The experience of sipping the coffee left us feeling as we were enjoying a latte, delicious! Smooth, creamy, and light with the added benefit of alertness and clarity. It was pretty cool, to say the least.
One of the benefits of MCT OIL, it’s loaded with Saturated Fats. Saturated fat is like super fuel for the brain. I’ll be the first to say I have experienced those effects of the super fuel combination. As I mentioned earlier, I felt alert, clarity as if I had super clear vision, and I was in a really good mood.
Aside from how the coffee made me feel, another benefit of MCT OIL is that the saturated fat left me satiated for hours. I get up around 4:30 AM. Just before leaving for work at 6 AM, I’d make myself a Bulletproof coffee for the drive. Made with MCT OIL, Grass-fed butter and freshly ground coffee (recipe and procedure in the video above). My hunger was kept at bay, I didn’t feel like I “HAD” to eat until around 11 AM. Not a bad deal if one is trying to stay at a certain number of calories per day.

Super Fuelled Coffee Ingredients
If you can, use freshly roasted coffee beans from a local coffee roasting shop. This ensures freshness, coffee beans ground fresh at home make for the perfect cup of coffee with or without the super fuel ingredients! Grass-fed, organic butter is the next ingredient and of course good quality MCT OIL.
But what if you don’t drink coffee? You can still get the benefits of MCT oil by adding it to your smoothies, tea and pretty much anything else you want to!
I should mention, yes, you will see the benefits I have mentioned but don’t overdo it. stick to one cup of the super fueled coffee a day. After all, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing too. Everything in moderation! And don’t forget to incorporate exercise into your daily routine!
